Joshua Pankau

I am currently a postdoc in the mathematics department at the University of Oklahoma. My interests include low dimensional topology, and geometric group theory. I spend my days studying the mapping class groups and its properties, working to classify pseudo-Anosov stretch factors, and more recently I have been studying properties of a construction I developed that builds translation surfaces from positive integer matrices.
